EILEN JEWELL
Eilen Jewell’s love of music began at the age of 7 when she begged her parents to let her take piano lessons in her hometown of Boise, Idaho. The 27-year-old singer, songwriter and musician plunged headlong into anything and everything musical ever since.
At 19, Eilen began performing at farmer’s markets and local bars in Santa Fe (as a college student at St. John’s), before moving to Los Angeles, where she became a fixture in the Venice Beach street circuit. She then journeyed cross country to New England in January, 2003 and settled briefly in the BerkshireMountains of Western Massachusetts, where she got her start at the legendary Club Helsinki. Seeing that Boston had a lot more to offer musically, Eilen moved there in late fall of 2003 and was quickly welcomed into the famous and vibrant folk and roots community. In December, 2005, with a tight band including Jason Beek on percussion, Daniel Kellar on violin, Jerry Miller on guitars and upright bass player Johnny Sciascia, Eilen entered Chris Rival’s renovated 19th-century barn/studio to record BoundaryCounty. Summer 2007 brought Jewell’s first national release, Letters From Sinners & Strangers, recorded at the Signature Sounds studio in Pomfret, Connecticut one snowy week in March. The album reached the Top 10 on the Americana weekly radio chart in addition to being listed on many critics' "best of" lists for 2007. Reaction to Eilen’s music was swift. Many compared her talents to those of Lucinda Williams, Gillian Welch and June Carter Cash. Eilen Jewell has shared the stage with a who's who list of Americana, Folk and Roots musicians. Among the highlights were Loretta Lynn, Chuck Prophet, Chris Smither, Jimmy LaFave, Junior Brown and The Holmes Brothers. Eilen Jewell and her band will be on tour throughout 2008 in the US, UK, Europe and Canada.

MICHAEL MCDERMOTT If you take one spoon of Springsteen, one spoon of Mellencamp (the softer version), one spoon of John Prine, one spoon of Justin Currie and one spoon of Steve Earle you have the cake called Michael McDermott. At the tender age of 20, Michael McDermott broke out of the Irish Catholic neighborhood that had formed the boundaries of his world, signing a big-time record deal with Giant/Warner Bros. His debut album, 1991’s 620 W. Surf, introduced the artist’s spiritually inclined songs along with his expansive, rootsy sound and included the MTV and rock radio hit “A Wall I Must Climb” which reached number 34 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart in 1991. Michael McDermott kept busy recording and playing non-stop during the years following that first national release including tours with Van Morrison, Cracker, The Cowboy Junkies, 10,000 Maniacs and The Wallflowers. Highlights of his 14 album catalog to date include Gethsemane in 1993, the self-titled Michael McDermott in 1995, Bourbon Blue in 1999, Last Chance Lounge in 2000, Ashes in 2004 and his most recent 2007 release “Noise From Words” on One Little Indian Records.

THE MEZCAL BROTHERS The Mezcal Brothers of Lincoln, Nebraska have been playing their own brand of roots rock and rockabilly for the past seven years. In past years, the band has received the award for recording of the year from radio station KZUM, was mentioned as one of the top rockabilly bands in the country by Goldmine Magazine, received 5-star record reviews from Blackcat Rockabilly (Europe), Rockabilly Monthly Magazine, Blue Suede News and Big Beat Magazine (Finland). The Mezcal Brothers are currently on tour promoting their fourth release, "Go Go Rhythm," which was released on Spinout Records (Nashville). The album features twelve heart-pounding original songs that are sure to get those feet a tappin'. Over the years The Mezcal Brothers have shared the stage with some of the most well known acts in the country, such as Link Wray, The Blazers, Wanda Jackson, Sleepy LaBeef, Lee Rocker, Jimmy Thackery, Big Sandy, Magic Slim, Los Straitjackets, Ronnie Dawson, and The Paladins, who were quoted as saying, "They should change their name to the Fabulous Mezcal Brothers because they are fabulous!" The Mezcal Brothers are nothing but entertainers to the very end with their greased up hair, flashy clothes, and some of the wildest stage antics you'll ever see. The band includes Gerardo Meza (vocals, and rhythm guitar), Benny Kushner (lead guitar), Charlie "Fireball" Johnson (upright bass), and Shaun Theye (drums).
